Here you will find the most common questions and answers about what the transition from Youbahn to Timing means for you and your work at Humanitas.
The switch to Timing
Youbahn has been part of Timing for 2 years. We are convinced that through this merger, we can further improve and expand the services and job offerings for you.
No, you are not required to switch. If you do not want to switch, this means that your work at Stichting Humanitas will end.
As of November 4, 2024, Youbahn will be fully transitioned to Timing, and so will you. In the week of October 28 to November 3, you will still work via Youbahn, and Youbahn will handle your payment.
Note: you can submit your hours to Youbahn in the usual way until November 11 at the latest.
Your first salary via Timing, if you have been working, will be processed on Monday, November 11, and you will receive it on Wednesday, November 13 (this may be later, depending on your bank).
Of course, we are happy with your arrival at Timing. First, we will register you with Timing. The first email you receive from us is a welcome email, followed by an email requesting you to activate your My Timing account. We recommend doing this as soon as possible. In the account, you will soon be able to approve your contract and enter your hours.
Note: it is important that you activate your account before Monday, October 28.
From week 43, you will receive an email from Timing to approve your contract and fill in your tax declaration. You can approve this contract in the Timing app or via the link in your email. Approve your contract as soon as possible, no later than October 28.

Salary and payslips
Yes, Timing also follows the reward scheme of Stichting Humanitas in accordance with the CAO for Temporary Workers (ABU). Your gross hourly wage, applicable allowances, travel expenses, and (un)cost reimbursements remain the same and are fully adopted.
Timing transfers your salary every Tuesday at the end of the day. You usually have it in your account on Wednesday. This may be later, depending on your bank. Timing has no influence on this. Would you prefer to be paid every 4 weeks? Indicate this to Timing by sending an email to [email protected]. Don't forget to provide your name in this.
The platform will remain available for you until December 1, 2024, so make sure to download and save all important documents for yourself.
Your Timing payslip looks different from what you are used to from Youbahn. Therefore, you can find here an example of your new payslip. We have numbered all important parts, below you will find the parts per number:

Contract
No. Your current contract will be taken over one-on-one by Timing with the same end date.
Youbahn works with different contract forms than Timing. Namely, agreements with a temporary employment clause. At Timing, we only work with secondment agreements. A temporary employment clause is a provision that states that the temporary employment contract ends by operation of law at, among other things, the end of the assignment and in case of illness. This means that your assignment can be terminated at any time during the temporary employment contract with a temporary employment clause.
A secondment agreement is a temporary employment contract without a temporary employment clause, which can be agreed upon for a fixed or indefinite period. This agreement therefore continues until the legally valid end date.
This is important to know:
Secondment agreements
Timing standardly works with secondment agreements for a fixed term in Phase A. Timing naturally takes into account your accumulated work history at Youbahn. A secondment agreement gives you more certainty about the continued payment of sick pay during the term of your contract, as you remain employed by Timing, and you only have to consider one waiting day. If you receive a secondment agreement with hour guarantee, then you are also assured of being paid at least the number of hours you have been guaranteed during the term of the contract.
Timing takes over your entire employment history. So you start at Timing with what you had already built up at Youbahn, and Timing will then continue counting.
For example, if you are in Phase A and have worked for 36 weeks, you will start at Timing in Phase A in the 37th week. If you are in Phase B and have had 4 contracts, you will also start at Timing in Phase B with your 4th contract.
Planning & submit hours
This will change for you from the transition to Timing. You will no longer need to enter your hours yourself in the Timing environment. This will be done by Humanitas. Your worked hours will then be automatically transferred to you. So for the first time, you do not need to enter your worked hours for the week of November 4 to November 10.
If you currently have a fixed schedule with Humanitas, you will find your schedule, just like now, in the App of Humanitas/Nedap. Leave requests are submitted via the Timing app. In consultation with Humanitas, your request will be approved or not.
Note: You indicate yourself whether you want paid leave, you can submit this via your account on www.timing.nl or inform us ([email protected]) so that we can process your hours. If you do not inform us, we will assume unpaid leave.

If you are accepted for this service, a placement confirmation from Youbahn for this service after November 3 will automatically follow. This placement will be taken over by Timing and converted into an on-call agreement. You will therefore receive a new agreement from Timing. The placement confirmation from Youbahn with a date after 11/3 will then be canceled.
Leave & holiday pay
Yes! Your reservations will be paid out weekly just like now at Youbahn. Weekly, you will see your accrued statutory vacation days and your accrued vacation pay paid out on your payslip. Note: The accrued balance of vacation days was printed in money on the payslip at Youbahn. With us, it is in hours.
You take your statutory vacation days when you actually take time off and communicate your payment preference to us.
Sick Report
If you are unexpectedly ill and cannot work, you call the planner of Humanitas before the start of your shift. Then you always call Timing at 088-5063226. You report sick between 08:30 and 09:00 on working days.
On the weekend, you contact the on-call service of Timing and report sick before the start of your shift via the same phone number (088-5063226). Then call your regular Timing contact person on Monday for an update.
If you are sick during the transition to Timing, Timing will take over your sick pay. However, at Timing, we have a one-week delay on this payment. This means that you will not receive your first payment in week 46 but in week 47.
Pension
At Timing, you retain your right to pension accrual. If you are currently building up a pension, you will also build up a pension at Timing. Timing, like Youbahn, is affiliated with StiPP. Also at Timing, you start accruing a pension from the age of 18 via StiPP, however, you are directly registered for the StiPP Pluspensioen. The pension scheme in the temporary employment sector has 2 variants: the overall considered 'lesser' Basic scheme and the 'better' Plus scheme. With the Plus scheme, you are automatically insured in case of permanent disability and the average accrual of old-age pension (pension savings) is higher. When you have worked as a temporary worker for 52 weeks, you automatically switch from the Basic scheme to the Plus scheme. This is a requirement that applies to all temporary workers and agencies. Timing chooses to register all temporary workers directly with the Plus scheme, so everything is well arranged for you. If you have worked as a temporary worker for 52 weeks (including the past with other temporary employment agencies), then it is an obligation to switch to the Plus scheme. Unfortunately, we cannot deviate from that.
If you have not yet worked as a temporary worker for 52 weeks and you definitely want to stay in the Basic scheme, then you must email us your 'pension history'. Only if you inform us whether and, if so, how long you have worked for which other temporary employers in the 52 weeks prior to your assignment via Timing, can we reverse that. We also need your confirmation of work/pension history for accountability towards StiPP. After 52 weeks worked, you will still (obligatorily) switch to the Plus scheme. This is an obligation for all temporary employers.
