The impact of Timing

We have divided our ambition 'work that works for everyone' into four focus areas. This makes it easier to take concrete steps together. We are far from there, but we take steps in the right direction every day.

• Dignified work
  We want to do everything we can to offer everyone dignified work. This starts with a safe and healthy working environment, equal opportunities, and equal treatment. But it also involves sufficient training and development opportunities. It is work that provides more than just money. It gives you self-esteem and makes you proud of the things you do. Because operational work is important work. Without this work, the Netherlands literally comes to a standstill. 
  
  
• Good basic income
  We want to actively contribute to poverty reduction by making a good basic income accessible to everyone. By a good basic income, we mean a salary that can pay not only for (healthy) food, housing, healthcare, and education. But also provides access to normal social life, such as membership of a sports club or association, a school activity, or, for example, access to the internet.
  
  
• For everyone
  We believe that everyone has the right to a job. However, this is not self-evident for everyone. Especially for people with a distance to the labor market, it is difficult to find and keep this job. That is why we pay extra attention to people with a vulnerable position in society. Think of people with disabilities and everyone who currently works in fields or professions that are losing social relevance.
  
  
• Sustainable organization
  We want to minimize our impact on the planet and limit our own 'footprint' as much as possible. Ultimately, we are working towards a climate-neutral organization.

Every organization can contribute to sustainability in its own way. By eliminating negative impact or adding positive impact. But together we go further. That is why we link our efforts to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This global to-do list contains 17 concrete objectives that should lead to a better and sustainable world for everyone. We join this and use the SDGs as frameworks to shape our contributions to a better world. These are the four main SDGs that Timing contributes to (ranked by number, not by importance):

No poverty (SDG 1)
Combating poverty in all its forms. Everywhere in the world. The goal is for everyone to have access to basic needs, such as food, shelter, education, and healthcare.

Decent work and economic growth (SDG 8)
Promoting sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for everyone. It is about inclusive growth that creates opportunities for people, businesses, societies, with respect for labor rights, social protection, and a safe working environment. 

Reducing inequality (SDG 10)
Reducing inequality within and between countries. This means that everyone should have equal opportunities, regardless of origin, age, gender, disability, or background. 

Climate action (SDG 13)
Taking action to combat climate change and its impacts. The goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase resilience to climate impacts, and accelerate the transition to a sustainable, climate-neutral economy.

Things only change when everyone knows the problem, knows what the possible solutions are, and what role everyone plays in this. Our route begins with identifying the issues that play an essential role in achieving our goal: dignified work with a living income for everyone from a sustainable organization. From there, we take initiatives to get closer to our ultimate goal.

Dignified work
At Timing, we believe that work works for everyone. Practical work forms the backbone of our society, and temporary workers are indispensable in keeping the Netherlands running. We proudly commit to emphasizing the value of this work and ensuring it receives the recognition and reward it deserves. Work is so much more than just an income. It provides structure, social connection, and personal growth. At Timing, we believe that everyone has the right to dignified work in a safe, inclusive, and fair environment. That is why we commit every day to supporting temporary workers and clients in creating workplaces where people feel valued and can thrive.

Living income
At Timing, we believe in the power of work. Work is not only a means to generate income but also a way to offer people perspective, security, and a better future. We are proud of our mission to make job security and a living income accessible to everyone. We are committed to fighting poverty and helping people grow, regardless of their background, education, or experience. Our starting point is that a full-time job should provide a living income, and we are determined to inspire companies to join us in this. At Timing, everything revolves around creating opportunities and supporting people on their path to a stable and successful career.

For everyone
At Timing, we believe that work works for everyone. We find it important that everyone feels they belong. Everyone has the right to a job, regardless of age, gender, cultural background, who you love, and what you believe. For people for whom work is less self-evident, we create opportunities. Because we believe that everyone deserves a place in the labor market.

Sustainable organization
At Timing, we believe in progress. We want to continue to play a meaningful role for our employees, clients, and the world around us. Helping each other move forward without the world falling behind. That is why we are also making our organization more sustainable. We are not there yet. But we are taking steps in the right direction.

Every day we make choices to make our organization more sustainable and to make dignified work with a good basic income available to everyone. Certificates help us ensure that we are truly getting closer to our ambition. We know that the world of certificates is a labyrinth, so here is an overview of the certificates we use and what they stand for. 

Het inzetten van flexkrachten vanuit verschillende doelgroepen geeft je als werkgever de kans om invulling te geven aan het MVO-beleid. Daarnaast zijn er nog meer voordelen:

• Door op een maatschappelijk verantwoorde manier te werven, is het aanbod groter en kunnen er meer of sneller vacatures worden ingevuld. Zo blijft je bedrijfsproces goed gewaarborgd.
• Door de inzet van doelgroep-kandidaten voldoe je aan de Wet banenafspraak. De banenafspraak omvat onder andere een quotumregeling. De quotumregeling is in het leven geroepen om het werken met mensen met een arbeidsbeperking te stimuleren.
• Mensen met een afstand tot de arbeidsmarkt zijn gemotiveerd om te werken en blijken, wanneer hen de kans wordt geboden, vaak loyale werknemers te zijn.
• Er zijn allerlei financiële- en praktische ondersteuningsmogelijkheden die het in dienst nemen en houden van mensen met een arbeidsbeperking aantrekkelijk maakt. Zoals loondispensatie, loonkostensubsidie, loonkostenvoordeel en jobcoaching of werkplekaanpassingen.
