Logistics Employee
**What will you do?**
Are you looking for a dynamic logistics position within an international company? At Rijk Zwaan in De Lier, we are looking for a Logistics Employee for the Distribution department for a temporary period of 6 months. As a Logistics Employee, you ensure that the logistics process runs smoothly. You are involved in processing orders, storing seeds in the warehouses, and internal transport between different departments. You retrieve batches of vegetable seeds from the automated warehouse and ensure they reach the correct department on time for further processing. In doing so, you work with a reach truck and pay close attention to matters such as the weight and correct storage conditions of the seeds. Ultimately, you ensure that orders are complete and ready on time for shipment to customers and subsidiaries worldwide.
**Your tasks**
• You collect batches of vegetable seeds from the automated warehouse;
• You transport seeds using a reach truck to the correct departments;
• You ensure internal transport between different departments;
• You check, among other things, the weight and correct storage conditions of the seeds;
• You prepare orders for shipment;
• You assist with loading and unloading trucks and sea containers;
• You contribute ideas for improving logistics processes;
• You support other departments within Operations where necessary.
