  • Are you looking for a leadership role where you are engaged daily with people, transport, and safety? Renewi in Wateringen is seeking a Team Leader Transport. In this role, you lead a team of drivers and ensure calm, structure, and connection within the team. Together, you contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable world by turning waste into valuable raw materials. You provide daily leadership to a team of drivers and are partly responsible for a fleet of 15 trucks. You coach, guide, and motivate drivers in their daily tasks. You conduct performance, appraisal, and absenteeism interviews and guide new colleagues during their onboarding. You are the link between drivers, planning, and operations, ensuring that routes, equipment, and personnel deployment align well. You monitor staffing levels and identify bottlenecks in a timely manner. You contribute to the transport and maintenance planning of the fleet. You handle operational questions and complaints from customers. You manage and check administrative tasks, such as time registration, damages, tachograph data, and weighing data. You ensure compliance with laws and regulations and the applicable safety guidelines. You make sure that safety, quality, and customer satisfaction are central every day.

We ask

  • • You have MBO+ or HBO working and thinking level; • You have experience in directly managing operational staff within transport, logistics, or a similar environment; • You have an affinity with transport and logistics processes; • You possess good administrative and digital skills; • You are structured and can maintain an overview even in unexpected situations; • You have a hands-on mentality and know how to motivate and develop employees; • You are communicatively strong and stand firm; • You have a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction; • Experience in waste collection or recycling is a plus, but not required.
