The abolition of the hirer's remuneration
What is changing?
The existing system of the hirer's remuneration is therefore being abolished. Instead, the remuneration of the temporary worker is fully aligned with the employment conditions that apply to the client. This means that standard percentages for components: reservations, vacation days, and holiday pay from the ABU CAO will be replaced by the applicable components from the applicable CAO of the hiring company. Temporary workers will henceforth receive as much as possible the same, but in any case equivalent, employment conditions as permanent employees at the client.
What does this mean in concrete terms?
The well-known system of the "hirer's remuneration" (the set of 10 remuneration elements that temporary workers must receive at a minimum) is being abolished. Instead, the requirement of equivalence of employment conditions applies.
Since the Netherlands has many CAOs, this requires a detailed analysis of the employment conditions package of clients. Think of travel cost arrangements, training budgets, or home working allowances.
