HR employee vacancies
If you enjoy dealing with personnel matters, recruitment, and other administrative tasks related to human resources, then a position as an HR employee might be something that suits you. Everything related to personnel within a company is organized by you and is your responsibility.
What does an HR employee do?
As an HR employee, you are responsible for personnel matters within a company. In some companies, you do this alone, but it also happens that you work within a team. You may also come across terms like HR advisor, HR assistant, and HRM. An HR advisor is the one who determines and monitors all strategies regarding personnel matters and employees, while an HR employee supports the HR advisor in this. When you work as an HR assistant, you mainly perform the administrative tasks related to HR. HRM is the overarching term for the HR department and is an abbreviation for Human Resource Management, in other words: everything related to HR and personnel matters.
As an HR employee, you are involved in personnel matters, but what does that entail exactly? You will, among other things, post vacancies, conduct job interviews, and ensure in various ways that employees are retained. Administrative tasks, such as drafting contracts, are also part of your responsibilities.
An HR employee has a significant responsibility within a company. It is important that you can feel involved with an organization and its employees, have a good sense of empathy, and can maintain order.
"As an HR employee, you must be able to communicate well with different types of people, both formally and informally."
How do you become an HR employee?
To work in HR, you need an education in the field of HR. There are programs available at both MBO and HBO levels. The required level varies per organization. Sometimes they also ask for experience with certain systems or relevant work experience in the HR field, but there are also many entry-level positions available in this direction.
What is important, in any case, is that you can communicate well with different types of people, both formally and informally. Additionally, it is helpful if you can maintain a good overview.
If you find it appealing to work in HR but do not (yet) have an education or relevant experience, you can often start as a recruiter/intermediary. In that case, you do similar work to an HR employee, but in a slightly lighter form. You see this type of vacancies a lot at employment agencies, and coincidentally, we at Timing specialize in this. What does an HR employee earn on average?
An HR employee earns approximately from 2,500 euros gross per month. This is when you work full-time. When you have an entry-level position or start as a recruiter or intermediary, this is slightly lower. You will usually work during office hours, and there are often part-time opportunities as well.
What is the career perspective of an HR employee?
In every company, a position within HRM is very important, whether you are an employee, advisor, or recruiter, ultimately you are partly responsible for keeping a company running. Without employees, that is, of course, not possible. There will always and everywhere be a need for HR employees, and furthermore, there are also good growth opportunities, such as becoming an HR manager within a large organization or an HR advisor.
