For a food production company in Wateringen, we are seeking a Packing Employee. You will work with fresh ready-made meals and be responsible for preparing, packing, sorting, and getting the meals ready for shipment. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the meals are packed in the correct quantities and provided with the correct labels.

As a Packing Employee, you play a crucial role in the production process. You ensure that the meals are prepared, packed, labeled, and ready for shipment according to the correct procedures.

Your responsibilities will include weighing portions, putting the correct quantities of food into containers, sorting different types of meals, packing, sorting, and preparing ready-made meals for shipment, applying and checking product labels accurately, replacing label rolls in the labeling machine, filling crates with meals, stacking and preparing carts, checking the quality, quantities, and presentation of the products, keeping your work area clean and organized, and supporting colleagues with various production activities.

You will work in a production environment where hygiene, accuracy, and consistency are very important. You will regularly perform repetitive tasks and ensure that every meal is processed according to the correct procedures.

Your responsibilities will include preparing meals on a large scale, collecting and processing various ingredients, following prescribed recipes, lifting and handling large bags of ingredients, mixing large quantities of ingredients, preparing meals in the correct portions, using a steam machine, checking that the correct ingredients and quantities are used, placing prepared meals in the shock freezer, keeping your work area clean and organized, and supporting colleagues with various kitchen activities. Due to the nature of the work, it is important that you are physically strong and comfortable being active throughout the working day.
