Work as a basic doctor in Groningen and make a difference every day for vulnerable elderly people with complex care needs. You work 24 to 32 hours a week in elderly care, where you have time and attention for your patients. In this role, you are the link between different healthcare professionals and provide personal, medical guidance to the elderly. You contribute to their quality of life and look beyond just the medical complaints. Your target group consists of elderly people who often have multiple conditions and for whom personal attention is extra important. What does your day look like? You start with a handover together with the nursing team. Then you visit patients, make diagnoses, and create treatment plans. You consult with family members, listen to their concerns, and provide explanations. In the afternoon, you discuss with other healthcare providers how you can together offer the best care.
