  • As a logistics employee in Amsterdam, you work in the sorting center of a large logistics service provider. You work a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 40 hours per week. You work day shifts from 11:00 AM to 6:30 PM and receive extra allowances for working in the evening from 6:00 PM. Being physically active and working with a friendly team make this job attractive.

    Your day consists of sorting packages. You check labels and ensure everything is in the right place. You place packages on the conveyor belt or in the correct bin. Together with your colleagues, you ensure a smooth logistics process. Your work is varied, and you stay active. Safety and accuracy are central. You speak Dutch or English to ensure good communication.

What will you do? You are the engine of the logistics process. Together with your team, you ensure that thousands of packages quickly reach the right destination.

  • You sort incoming and outgoing packages;
  • You scan, check labels, and verify destinations;
  • You accurately place packages on the correct conveyor belt or location.

Honestly: this is tough work. At DHL Amsterdam, the work pace is high. The work is physically demanding, repetitive, and breaks are short. You stand a lot and lift throughout the shift. What's in it for you? (Salary & Allowances) Because you work in the evening and night, the allowances increase significantly. Your base salary is €14.99 per hour, but with allowances, you earn much more:

  • 06:00 - 18:00 hours: €14.99 (100%);
  • 18:00 - 20:00 hours: €16.86 (112.5%);
  • 20:00 - 00:00 hours: €18.74 (125%);
  • 00:00 - end of shift: €19.49 (130%);
  • Saturday night: €22.48 (150%);
  • Sunday / Holidays: Up to 200% allowance!
