  • As a production worker picking in Hoogeveen, you work in day shifts. You start at 07:15 and work until the job is done, often between 14:00 and 16:00. You work part-time or full-time, usually on a call basis. During busy periods, such as around Christmas and from September, more hours are available. You receive a 25% bonus if you work more than 38 hours. After your training period, you also receive a bonus per kilo of mushrooms picked. You work flexibly from Monday to Sunday, but always a maximum of five days a week. This makes the position easy to combine with other commitments. On an average workday, you are busy picking mushrooms. You work together in a team with colleagues from different countries. You ensure that you work quickly and neatly, as quality is paramount. You pay attention to the correct picking standard and help each other where necessary. Sometimes you also help with packing or checking the mushrooms. The work is physical, so it is important that you are fit and stand firm. You learn the trade quickly and receive guidance from experienced colleagues.
