As a pedagogical professional at the after-school care in Gouda, you play a crucial role in the lives of children aged 4 to 13 years. You ensure they feel safe and welcome after school. You come up with creative, sporty, and educational activities and work with colleagues to create a warm atmosphere where every child feels seen and heard. Your working days and hours are in consultation, which means you can work flexibly between 12 and 26 hours per week. During school holidays, you are extra important and, together with the team, you come up with a varied holiday program. You organize, for example, craft afternoons, sports tournaments, outdoor adventures, and relaxation moments, so children can relax and develop. On an average working day, your shift usually starts after school hours. You welcome the children, have a chat, and ensure everyone feels welcome. Then you start with fun activities, tailored to the group and the weather. You guide sports and games, help with creative projects, and encourage cooperation and respect. You work closely with colleagues, have contact with parents, and contribute to a good atmosphere. During the holidays, you work full days and organize a fun and challenging program for the children with your team. You pay attention to the development of each child and are alert to their safety and well-being. You are a role model and confidant for the children and help them grow.
