As a CO2 Welder, you work on various technical projects where you weld carbon steel and stainless steel parts using different welding processes such as SMAW, CO2, MIG/MAG, and mechanized welding. You work accurately with technical drawings and welding instructions, check your work, and deliver high quality. You ensure the correct preheat temperature and remove slag between weld beads. Preventing welding defects and ensuring smooth transitions are second nature to you. An average workday begins with checking workpieces for dimensions and cleanliness. You'll work from detailed electrical schematics and technical drawings to ensure all systems meet the required specifications and quality standards.
