Improved pension scheme
What is changing?
As of January 1, 2026, a new pension scheme will be introduced for temporary workers. The total pension premium will increase to 23.4% of the pension base, of which 15.9% will be paid by the employer and 7.5% by the employee. All temporary workers aged 18 and older will start building up a pension from day one.
What does this mean in practice?
From January 1, 2024, all temporary workers will start building up a pension from the first working day through the new scheme of StiPP (the pension provider for temporary workers). Until January 1, 2026, there will still be a distinction between Stipp Basic and Stipp Plus. This distinction will be eliminated as of January 1, 2026, and the premium will increase to 23.4%, with the majority being paid by the employer.
