- As a Shipboard Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems onboard ships and maritime installations. You will work with a variety of systems, including power distribution, lighting, navigation equipment, automation systems, and communication networks. Your daily responsibilities include installing and connecting electrical systems onboard vessels, reading and interpreting technical drawings and electrical schematics, inspecting, testing, and commissioning maritime electrical installations, diagnosing and resolving electrical and technical faults, performing maintenance and repair activities on onboard systems, and supporting refit, modernization, and new-build projects. You will primarily work at shipyards, ports, and onboard vessels, with occasional travel required for project support and sea trials.

We ask
- • Completed MBO education in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field; • Relevant experience as an electrician, preferably within shipbuilding, maritime, or offshore environments; • Knowledge of maritime electrical systems and regulations is an advantage; • Valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one; • Driving license B; • Flexible, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; • Good command of Dutch and/or English.
