Production Team Leader
As a production team leader, you play a central role on the work floor. You work full-time, 40 hours per week. You manage the production team and distribute the work. You monitor the progress, productivity, and quality of the production process. You check whether products meet the requirements and intervene in case of deviations. You ensure a safe, healthy, and tidy working environment. Together with planning, you look at how best to deploy employees, machines, and materials. You keep an eye on the availability of raw materials. In case of malfunctions, you coordinate directly with the technical service.
On an average workday, you start with a short work meeting. Then you distribute the tasks and motivate the team. You check the progress on the lines and check the quality. Are there any deviations? Then you take appropriate measures immediately. You consult with other departments and handle quality complaints according to procedures. You train new colleagues and conduct work and performance reviews. You actively think about improvements for processes, quality, and efficiency. You do the administration and end the day with a short reflection.
