As Head of Technical Service at Struyk Verwo Infra in Dordrecht, you lead a compact technical team and ensure that the machinery operates optimally. You combine technical depth with leadership and are an important sparring partner for both the mechanics and the Plant Manager. You are responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and preventing malfunctions, and continuously improving the technical performance of the factory. As a member of the Management Team, you contribute to discussions on investments, maintenance strategies, and the technical future of the location. This position requires more than just leadership experience. You are also the technical point of contact for the Technical Service and can engage in discussions with mechanics about mechanical installations, hydraulics, pneumatics, and their control. Experience in a production environment is therefore essential. If you also have electrical engineering knowledge or experience in an industrial environment, that is a significant plus. You operate and set up machines that continuously seal cardboard strips with polyethylene coating. You ensure the production process runs smoothly and perform quality checks. You assist with minor maintenance tasks and keep your workplace clean and safe. Together with your colleagues, you start the day with a team meeting and distribute the tasks. You quickly adapt to unexpected situations and contribute to an efficient process. Rejected cardboard packaging, such as milk and juice cartons, are reused and processed into new packaging materials like cardboard tubes, corner profiles, and column formworks. This is done through a continuous sealing process of the polyethylene coating.
