Logistics

  • In the Goods Receipt department, you ensure that all products arriving by truck at our location in Leusden are processed correctly. Once the goods are unloaded, you start unpacking and sorting the products. Using a handheld scanner, you scan the barcode of each item. The scanner then indicates which item it is, how many pieces there are, and where they need to go within the warehouse. Based on this, you sort the products into the correct container or bin so they can be further processed. You work with both small and large parts, so it's important that you are physically fit. You are on the move all day, walking and standing a lot, and you also need to regularly lift products. These can be both light and somewhat heavier materials.

We offer

  • • A fun full-time job for a longer period; • Hourly wage: €15.61 (including 4.15% year-end bonus); • Holiday pay accumulation of 8.33%; • Travel allowance of €0.24 net per km up to 50 km commuting if you live outside Leusden; • Nice colleagues and permanent Timing contacts on site.

We ask

  • • You are available from Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:00; • You are physically fit. Long standing, walking, and heavy lifting are no problem for you; • You are good with handheld scanners; • You are enthusiastic, motivated, and can work accurately.

Where will you be working?

Pon Logistics is a logistics company in Leusden that primarily focuses on storage, distribution, and transport for the Volkswagen Group. The company is part of Pon Holdings, one of the largest family businesses in the Netherlands. The organization is divided into five departments: Goods Receipt, SV (Small & Volume) Picking, ASRS-Work Orders, Expedition, and the Unloading Area. In the Goods Receipt department, incoming parts are checked and sorted. They are then stored by the SV (Small & Volume) department. This department consists of two sectors: Small, where medium-sized parts are processed, and Volume, where larger parts are stored. Employees in this department are involved in stocking goods and picking orders. The employees of ASRS-Work Orders focus on collecting small parts. Once all parts are picked, they are forwarded to the Expedition department. This department mainly employs students and has multiple shifts in the afternoon, allowing for flexible staffing. In the Unloading Area, cars arrive by train. Employees drive the vehicles off the train and park them on the premises. Flexibility is expected from employees in this department, as they often find out a day in advance if work is available. In the other departments, employees generally work full-time. The management style within the organization is informal and coaching, with easy contact between employees and supervisors. The workplace culture is both team-oriented and result-oriented, where employees collaborate but can also work independently. The location is easily accessible by both car and public transport and has parking facilities on its own premises. Working hours vary between 06:00 and 21:30, depending on the department. The work pace is generally stable, with peak periods during certain seasons. The work also has a repetitive nature. Within the organization, a positive work attitude and independence where needed are highly valued, combined with a good work pace. Successful employees are social, eager to roll up their sleeves, and possess strong motivation.
