Once the goods are unloaded, you start unpacking and sorting the products. Using a handheld scanner, you scan the barcode of each item. The scanner then indicates which item it is, how many pieces there are, and where they need to go within the warehouse. Based on this, you sort the products into the correct container or bin so they can be further processed. You work with both small and large parts, so it's important that you are physically fit. You are active all day, walking and standing a lot, and you also need to regularly lift products. These can be both light and somewhat heavier materials.
