Over the internship
Timing supports leading organizations such as ANWB, Vitens, Conduent, and Mediq in recruiting customer contact employees. In a tight labor market, attracting the right employees is a continuous challenge. This requires a smart recruitment approach, effective labor market communication, and data-driven decisions.
During this HBO internship, you will play an active role within the client team and work for various clients. You will combine operational recruitment experience with analysis, project-based work, and advice. You will explore how recruitment can be organized smarter, faster, and more effectively, delivering concrete improvements that are directly applicable.
Internship assignment
How can Timing optimize the recruitment process for customer contact roles, so that clients have quicker access to quality employees and candidates experience an optimal candidate experience?
You will investigate the current recruitment process, analyze data, and develop concrete improvement proposals that contribute to more efficient and effective recruitment.
Tasks
Recruitment
• Conducting intake interviews with candidates independently;
• Conducting telephone and online selection interviews;
• Matching candidates to the job requirements and culture of the client;
• Guiding candidates throughout the entire application process;
• Coordinating with hiring managers and contact persons of clients such as ANWB, Vitens, Conduent, and Mediq.
Labor market communication
• Investigating which recruitment channels yield the best results;
• Contributing ideas for target group-oriented recruitment campaigns;
• Optimizing job descriptions and online visibility;
• Exploring how AI and digital recruitment tools can contribute to a more efficient recruitment process;
• Analyzing employer branding and the attractiveness of the various clients.
Data analysis and process improvement
• Mapping the entire candidate journey;
• Analyzing recruitment KPIs, such as:
• Time-to-hire;
• Conversion per recruitment channel;
• No-show percentages;
• Lead time per process step;
• Dropout during onboarding;
• Quality of Hire.
• Identifying bottlenecks in the recruitment process;
• Developing improvement proposals based on data, practical experience, and discussions with stakeholders.
Onboarding
• Evaluating the onboarding at different clients;
• Investigating which factors contribute to a successful start for new employees;
• Analyzing early turnover and retention;
• Advising on improvements that contribute to higher employee satisfaction and longer employability.
Practical research
The student conducts practice-oriented research on a current recruitment issue, for example:
• Which recruitment channels deliver the highest quality candidates for customer contact roles?
• How can AI support recruiters in volume recruitment?
• What factors influence the candidate experience within customer contact recruitment?
• How can the conversion from applicant to employee be increased?
• Which onboarding activities contribute most to retention?
• How can recruitment data be better used to strategically advise clients?
The research concludes with a substantiated advisory report and an implementation proposal for Timing.
