As a team leader, you ensure that the work in the department runs smoothly and efficiently. You maintain oversight, make adjustments where necessary, and work together with your colleagues for the best result. From the PLUS distribution center in Oss, you help supply supermarkets across the Netherlands with products daily. In this modern distribution center, colleagues and smart systems work together to process thousands of products per day. You ensure that the operations run smoothly so that the stores receive their orders on time. As a team leader, you ensure that the operations within your department run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You manage a team of operational employees and actively participate when necessary. You maintain oversight, stay calm when it gets busy, and set clear priorities. You communicate clearly, switch easily, and quickly see where improvements can be made. You take responsibility, address issues as soon as needed, and know how to engage colleagues in daily operations in a pleasant way. With your approach as a leader, you guide and develop employees so that they can work with pleasure and clarity. This way, you and the team get the best out of the department every day. You lead a team of 10 to 20 employees, organize the daily work within the agreements on budget, productivity, and KPIs, arrange the work distribution, coordinate the personnel planning, coach and guide employees, and initiate improvements. You work 36 hours per week in a 3-shift system: Morning shift (06:00 - 14:30), Afternoon shift (14:00 - 22:30), and Night/evening shift (22:00 - 06:30).
