Operator Can Factory

As an Operator at the can factory of FrieslandCampina in Leeuwarden, you are responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining various production lines. In this factory, large rolls of steel are processed into metal packaging. You can work on the press line, coating line, welding line, or strip cutting line, among others.

It is a technical and independent role where you work a lot with your hands. The machines are partly older installations where mechanical insight and technical understanding are indispensable. You are not only involved in keeping production running but also independently detect and resolve malfunctions as much as possible. This may involve partially or fully dismantling machines to identify the cause of a malfunction.

You work in a 5-shift system and independently manage a production line. Therefore, it is important that you take initiative, dare to take responsibility, and are not afraid of technically challenging work. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that production runs safely, efficiently, and according to the set quality standards.

Your tasks include:

• Operating, setting up, and converting various production lines.
• Detecting, analyzing, and independently resolving technical malfunctions.
• Performing minor repairs and mechanical work.
• Dismantling and assembling machine parts to identify malfunctions.
• Conducting quality checks and monitoring the production process.
• Recording production data and special occurrences.
• Ensuring a safe, tidy, and well-functioning work environment.
