You usually start at 6:00 AM, but sometimes as early as 4:00 AM on Fridays. A workday lasts eight hours, and you are often finished early in the afternoon. You work on an on-call basis, so your hours vary per week. You earn €16.70 gross per hour. Your main task is to empty street gullies with the gully cleaner. You open manholes, place the hose in the gully, and ensure everything is left tidy. Additionally, you perform minor maintenance and cleaning on the equipment. Since you work outside, it's important that you don't shy away from wet or dirty work. You always work with a driver, so good teamwork is essential.
