As an order picker at the flower auction in Aalsmeer, you work in logistics and ensure that flowers and plants quickly reach the right customers. You start your workday early: at 06:00 you are ready on the work floor. The workdays last an average of 4.5 hours. After that, you are free for the rest of the day! This makes the job perfect if you are looking for flexibility or like to keep afternoons for yourself. You can indicate on which two (or more) weekday mornings you want to work. Your workday begins with collecting a cart full of flowers. You distribute these flowers and plants over the customers' carts, according to the instructions you receive via your headset. With an electric tug (no driver's license needed), you drive through the auction and deliver everything neatly. You transfer the plants and flowers onto the correct carts so they can reach the buyer on time. You also perform extra tasks, such as checking orders and managing customer carts.
