As a transport employee in Amsterdam, you work in a dynamic logistics environment. Your shifts vary from 9:00 AM to 3:00 AM. If you travel by public transport, you work until 11:00 PM. You work between 16 and 30 hours per week. You are responsible for preparing orders, building pallets, and assisting with loading trucks. The work is physical, so you spend a lot of time walking, lifting, and stacking. You work in different departments, such as expedition, tray processing, or the cold storage, which makes your work varied and active. Every day is different. You start by collecting orders and building pallets. Around 4:00 PM, the route planning begins, where you prepare routes for the drivers. In the evening, you help with shuttling and loading trucks. If you work in the cold storage, you ensure that chilled orders depart on time. As a circle sorter, you and your team distribute the pallets and check the orders for the correct route.
