You answer first-line questions over the phone, welcome candidates, temporary workers, and other visitors, and help people with their questions so they reach the right colleague. But it certainly doesn't have to stop there! The more you develop yourself, the more responsibility you get. Think, for example, of searching for candidates and taking on recruitment, conducting intake interviews, creating contracts, maintaining contact with clients, and brainstorming about how we can better match candidates and vacancies. In short: you largely determine how much you get out of your internship.
