  • As a forwarding officer, you work at DHL in Eindhoven. You are responsible for preparing, booking, and handling standard shipments. In this full-time job, you work 36 to 40 hours per week during the day shift. You have a lot of contact with drivers, customers, and terminals, which makes the work varied and dynamic. You perform light administrative tasks, such as booking shipments, scheduling pick-up and delivery appointments, and processing customs matters.

    On an average workday, you book new shipments, plan routes for drivers, and handle customer inquiries. You process trip summaries and ensure all administration is correct. Drivers come to you to pick up or drop off their trip summaries, and you assist them with operational questions. You work with Word and Excel, and you quickly learn the internal system. Speaking English is important because you talk to international drivers.
