As an emergency response worker in Nijmegen, you ensure that homes and business premises become habitable again after fire, storm, or contamination. You work 40 hours a week in a close-knit team. Your work is varied and visibly useful: you help people directly after a significant event.

    Your day starts early. Together with colleagues, you drive to the job of the day. You address damage by cleaning, tidying up, and performing repair work. You work at various locations, mostly in Gelderland. Sometimes you also work outside the region. Every four weeks, you have a week of on-call duty. During this time, you are available for emergencies outside of working hours. You receive extra pay for this.
