The Dutch department of the Multinational Geospatial Co-production Program (MGCP) is looking for enthusiastic data collectors to map global vector data. The MGCP is an international collaboration of 36 countries, focused on updating geographic data of areas where limited or outdated information is available. This data is crucial in humanitarian disasters and military operations. As a data collector, you are responsible for digitizing topographic and geographic data with ArcGIS Pro, interpreting satellite images and authorized source maps, and adhering to international guidelines when plotting data.

We ask

  • • A completed education at least at MBO-4 level; • Excellent spatial insight and concentration ability; • Skill in distinguishing shapes, sizes, and proportions on satellite images; • Good command of the Dutch language in spoken and written form; • Good knowledge of the English language (software and manuals are in English); • Interest and experience with graphic programs for data visualization is a plus; • Able to work concentrated for extended periods, with an average of 8 hours of screen work per day; • Independent and motivated to collect data accurately according to instructions; • A team player who strives for quality together with colleagues; • Available for 32-36 hours per week, with at least 2 days per week present at the office in Zwolle (in consultation with your team leader); • Available for training starting from 14-9-2026. This lasts 4 weeks and takes place from Monday to Thursday, 8 hours per day.

Where will you be working?

The Kadaster has the legal task of registering and managing data on ownership, boundaries, and geo-information. Within the Geo-Information department, you work with a team of professionals who ensure the collection, analysis, and updating of geographic data. This information is used worldwide, for example in humanitarian aid and security operations, and plays a crucial role in the daily functioning of our society.
