Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently fabricate pipe sections and brackets
- Assemble pipe sections, fittings, and other necessary components
- Prepare, clean, and degrease weld seams (cutting, grinding)
- Tack-weld pipe sections (TIG and MIG) according to guidelines
- Transport materials to and from the workspace
- Report completed pipe sections and components according to guidelines
- Identify and report deviations in pipe materials, components, and drawings to the supervisor
- Perform maintenance on tools and machines, ensuring a clean and safe workspace
- Report machine and tool malfunctions to the supervisor
- Conduct intermediate and final inspections for dimensional accuracy
- Test (punching and pressure testing) piping systems
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the correct dimensions and quality of fabricated and assembled pipe sections
- Perform intermediate and final quality inspections
- Efficiently fabricate and assemble pipe sections and piping systems
- Ensure pipe sections remain properly sealed
- Adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Properly operate machinery and tools
- Maintain and service machines and tools
- Approve products for welding and/or foreman review
- Maintain quality standards for pipe materials and components
Authorities:
- Report quality deviations to the supervisor
- Address colleagues and visitors on improper safety, health, and environmental practices
- Propose improvements, both requested and unsolicited
- Approve fabricated and assembled pipe sections for welding and/or foreman review
