Corona virus update for Kompak | March 19
Unfortunately we have to inform you about the first official reporting of a positive Corona test of one of our colleagues. That’s why we have to inform you about the conversation Kompak has had with the GGD and the ARGO.
Our colleague acted immediately and followed the right steps according to the doctor. With every suspicion of a corona virus infection, the following protocol comes into effect:
“The doctor requests a test at the RIVM and the Erasmus MC. These tests are compared to each other. In the meantime, the person is put into isolation, either at home or in a hospital, depending on the situation. If the test comes out positive, the person has to remain isolated.
The GGD then conducts a so-called contact investigation. This means that the “person of whom is believed to be infected” is questioned by the GGD and provides the information from the days before the ascertainment. All people with whom the person has been in contact with during the contagious period can in turn be contacted by the GGD.
In any case, we should all monitor our health during the 2 weeks incubation period. If you get symptoms and have been questioned by the GGD, you must report this to the GGD. For everyone else, please contact your doctor.
Symptoms
The effects of the coronavirus are similar to the normal flu virus. The most common symptoms are:
- Coughing;
- Fever (body temperature above 38 degrees Celsius);
- Shortness of breath;
- Sore throat.
Hygiene
Please follow the rules, as outlined by Kompak in the corona policy, as shared with you on March the 16th. Take the right precautions and follow the hygiene rules meticulously: wash your hands often and thoroughly and maintain social distance of at least 1,5 meters. If you still have a combination of the above symptoms, stay at home.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your contact within Timing. Not sure who you should contact? Please contact your local Timing office.

With Kind Regards,
